Warehouse Receiver

Compensation: $ 17/hr
Employment type: Full-time

This job is from Monday to Friday (and one Saturday per month) from 6 am to 3:30 pm, sometimes work hours extend for more than that, if the workload is heavy.
Looking for candidates that are responsible, reliable, hard worker, quick learner, that speak/write English. And that has his/hers own transportation. Experience in receiving fresh produce and dry goods are required.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Primary job duties (functions) required of this position:

  • Assembles Purchase order packages for distribution to the receivers via OTR drivers
  • Greets all OTR drivers in a professional manner
  • Checks in OTR drivers and verifies their job status and issues GMP’s for vendors
  • Greets all visitors and journeymen in a professional manner
  • Ensures that visitors and journeymen are escorted to the proper destination and that they understand GMP’s by issuing GMP’s as needed
  • Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes
  • Completes shipping and receiving reports
  • Assures that receivers are completing all paperwork
  • Creates shipping documents
  • Prioritizes work flow and manages door assignments
  • Must be available to work any shift

Performance Standards:

  • Controls all inbound deliveries and assures that all necessary documentation is retrieved at the time of receiving. Controls all access to the building during normal business hours to ensure that everyone entering the building is accounted for and fully aware of the company’s food safety standards
  • Shall comply with all applicable SQF policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Manually operates a hand-held scanning device (Scan gun)
  • Enters data on a key pad
  • Long periods of standing and walking on hard, concrete surfaces
  • Exposure to cold temperatures (ambient temperature)
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and wet conditions
  • Occasional lifting, up to 50 lbs to identify and inspect product
